The Iseppi Group Dinner has recently been held, with much enthusiasm, to celebrate 85 years of business for the Iseppi family.

On 15 November last, all Iseppi Companies came together: Iseppi Frutta Switzerland (Basel and Campascio), Villafrut Verona (Italy), Villagrow Spain (Almeria) and Villatrans (company specialising in logistics in Europe) to celebrate this important milestone together. “Behind a great business story, there are always men and women. People who prefer 'being' to 'appearing', people animated by ethics, by a passion and by a spirit of sacrifice which we would now define as being old school.” With these words Renato Iseppi opened the evening.

Later, Roberto Iseppi, Iseppi Frutta Director and Matteo Falzi, Villafrut Director thanked the collaborators present for their 20-30 years and more of work at the individual Group companies. Subsequently, Javier Casares, Director of Villagrow, the youngest Group company, awarded plaques to Villafrut and Iseppi Frutta to commemorate Villafrut on its 30th anniversary from foundation and Iseppi Frutta on its 55th anniversary. In fact, this year is exactly 30 years from when Villafrut was founded, while the coming year will be 55 years from when Iseppi & Co., now Iseppi Frutta S.A., was established.

Adele and Dino Iseppi managed a commercial farm in Valposchiavo (Switzerland) and in Valtellina (Italy), where they cultivated fruit and vegetables. In the 1930s they started to import fruit into Engadin (Switzerland) via the Bernina Pass; thus they began the foundation of a medium-large group in Europe, which sells in the European market 135,000 tonnes of fruit and vegetables, for a turnover of approximately 198 million Euros.

Thanks to the introduction of the QR code and smartphones, Consumers can consult the information on the chosen product in real time upon making the purchase.

Villagrow becomes an official supplier of the German retail chain KAISER'S TENGELMAN. Since November Villagrow has been delivering vegetables that are part of the retail chain's annual programme.

Villagrow has successfully gone through its first GLOBAL G.A.P.'s audit. The certification process regards 4 farmers of the following products: peppers, zucchini, cucumbers and aubergines.

Villagrow is for the second year an exclusive supplier of peppers for the retail chain DUNNES STORE present in Ireland. The product range includes: loose peppers in the box (25 pieces), packed peppers (flow pack) and Family pepper.

Villagrow gets QS certified. The QS ("Qualität & Sicherheit") is a certification system that embraces the whole delivery chain and guarantees the quality from the farm to the shop.
